    Are you using the SP1 or the SP2? The SP1, cauterize is just for the duration of the special. The SP2, the cauterize lingers for 10 seconds.

    I have the same issue here,
    but it seems fail when using SP1 or SP3 but if put them a team ultron synergy it works permanent, isn't a bug?

    Ultron launch a special attack,
    Function (Cauterize) – Remove all effects from the opponent caused by Ultron’s Function (Damage). Gain +1162 Attack Rating for each effect removed this way for the duration of the Special Attack.
