New Accounts and Unit Gain - A Problem or A Solution?

I'll start out by saying the thing that is on a lot of people's minds: Should I start a new account for gifting purposes?
My answer, as of now: Yes, do it. Here's why:
I started a new account 96 hours ago on Thursday night. I've played for at most an hour or two each day on the new account. My gain? Oh, just almost 2,000 units. And I haven't even started exploring act 3.
Today, I beat Act 4. I have probably spent a total of about 10 revives total during this new account adventure. I have spent nothing on refills and only used 3 boosts (not counting free sigil). When all is said and done, I'll probably have about 2,500-ish units on this account by the end of the week. So, it will have taken me 7 days to get 2,500 units. After Thursday, there will be another 6 weeks until the month of december is over. That could be another 15,000 units, which would bring me up to a total of 17,500 units, which is little less than 60 GGCs for my main account. Keep in mind that I'm only playing for about an hour a day every week to get this unit gain.
So, yes, this is a good thing for the player base. No, I don't want anyone to call this an exploit. This does not exploit anything in the TOS or anything that Kabam has said about alt accounts and such. This is just an improved way to get more resources to your account. This is 100% a solution and is making having an alt account way more fun. It's in no way a problem, as if anything, it will get more people to play the game more regularly. But there is one concern with this plan.
There will always be people who go all out for gifting. And I mean ALL OUT. I am not one of those people. I've never spent a penny on the game, and I don't intend to. Last year (my first year of gifting) I explored acts 1, 2, and 3 on my main to get some units to buy GGCs. I don't know how many I got, but it was a substantial amount. I'm guessing there are a lot of other people like me who won't spend on the game even during December. The solution? Make an alt, get units, buy GGCs, repeat.
Here's what I think should happen. This should not be changed in any way. This is not a violation of the TOS. This is completely following the rules and there's no reason to change it. If it is changed, I'm sure will just increase the number of people who have chosen to not spend this December.

This is a massive problem, but one they cannot reasonably enforce without reverting the acts (which should never have been reduced imo)
I think lvl 45 is a reasonable point to participate in gifting event.
What’s better, getting units, crystals to open and a new account, or grinding arena for units?
Secondly, something you can be objective about is unit amount per time. We’re talking about the ability right now to grind out 30k units for 2 hours a day for the next 45 days. Could you do that with arena?
