Difference Ikaris bug makes

Here is my ikaris stats at rank 4

First fight is against winter soldier, I used sp2 and heavy attacks to avoid the refresh bug, then built up to max incinerates and used sp3. After that I just repeated the process

Next is the captain marvel fight, where I built to max incinerates and spammed the special 1 refresh. Even accounting for about 30 seconds less fight time (shorter special attacks) the difference in damage output between fights is 10-20%.

Personally I would keep him the way he is, with the single refresh on sp1, from what I can tell, the numbers aren’t really broken.
A maxed out 5 star is about 3 times stronger than the Ikaris I used here, and therefore would have 1/3rd the fight time. That’s a 1 minute and 40 seconds, which is miles behind most DPS.
For reference, that’s about dragon man levels of damage against class neutrality and no buffs.

Final thing: His awakened ability can cause his damage to explode in fights with constant shock or incinerates, but I would still consider this to be pretty niche.
It would be a similar level of difference to silver surfer or sunspot for example.

the problem with it being on the last hit is you’re going to lose some incinerates this way. When it was on the first hit, even if your incinerates were two seconds from falling off you land the special 1 and instant refresh. Now, you’ve got to land it before those incinerates get too close to expiring. Passive ai? Tough luck now.

    I think that’s a temporary fix?

but he’s saying to keep the single refresh, which I was arguing against.

Oh yeah there should definitely be a refresh on the first hit at least

I agree. I think the best solution would be to have incinerates paused during special attacks. That way he gets maximum burst from his specials, without having to worry about timing the last hit of a special attack with the end of his incinerates.

So not to be that guy but will we get compensation crystals? 😏
I wouldn’t be expecting them but I’ll take free compensation any day.
