Champion Assignments in war

It would be really cool if officers could assign specific champs of assigned members that take part in war.

We already do something like that for our crew but we have to coordinate all that using line, though it would be nice if we had some sort of official capacity to do it in game. I know they've mentioned giving officers more responsibilities more control for future Alliance events and I'd love to hear an update and how that's coming along so we have an idea what to expect.
