AQ Map (various) Difficulty [Merged Thread]

Compensation should be considered to consist of several (think at least 10+ each) team revives and L4 Team Health pots, extra Glory points, and maybe even a sprinkling of a few hundred units since I’m positive that some folks had to use theirs to get revives or health pots when their stash ran dry.

Multiple (if not all) maps have this problem. So then map 5 players should select map 4, and so on down the line? Only asking to ensure we’ve adequately conveyed the extent of the problem.

So we are doing map six and I've done this for years. Currently my entire battle group is stuck in Section 1 and everyone that tries to fight Green Goblin with his unblockable level 2 dies within 10 seconds. He's not throwing his specials we have numerous videos in our chat proving this. If you try to get him to throw a special as soon as you come near him he kills you if you try to avoid him he backs you into a corner and he kills you. He's super aggressive and he hits you once and you die instantly. This is the first time in more than 3 years we have had this much trouble during the AQ. On the first day of the AQ we couldn't complete the map because we couldn't get past the second mini boss. Everyone did some research brought different champions and yesterday almost every player in my battle group itemed out. We barely finished. Now today we're not getting out of Section 1 because we're almost out of items and Green Goblin is still standing. All the players on the left side of the map are completely stuck none of us can get through him and if we keep using our items to try and bring him down we're going to be dead in the water and useless for the remainder of the AQ so we won't finish the map anyways. Take the AQ down. Give us the same rewards we got last week. Keep it down until you know for a fact it's fixed. Please stop using us as guinea pigs.

Are you sure it’s map 6 as the mini boss should be Ebony maw

Does anybody look at any of the stuff you push out?!? How is it that almost every other thing that gets introduced is messed up? As a business owner myself I am floored at the complete and utter mess we’re seeing. Seriously, put everything on hold and regroup as a company before the house of cards collapses altogether.

As far as I can tell there should be no Green Goblin mini on any map. If they indeed have GG mini then things are even more messed up than I thought 🤣

If thats the case then there is actually no need for them to stop this aq, just do lower maps while this mess is active, and consider the extra glory we get as an bonus for pain endured (lets hope for even more then that in compensation, as I would never say no to a six star nexus ).

But anyways, lets give Kabam time to fix this and trust that they actually do give out compensation worth the pain and agony we endured this round of aq.

I am not sure what your skill level is I am ok nothing great I have used close to 25 items the first 2 days I am pretty sure I am going to come out behind... I am sure many others will be too. When people see free stuff the rejoice without knowing the cost.
Another example we get 5 potions and 5 revives ever month for eq I am pretty sure that plus story quest cost me more than that through the parry and dex bug

What erks me the most is I guarantee that if this was an issue that benefited the players it would have been corrected first thing on the first day or they would have shut AQ down.. However since it’s about to be cyber sales this week I’m sure this “glitch” comes at a perfect time with it forcing players to use all their stored revives/potions and units with the ridiculous difficulty of AQ I’m sure they are gonna milk the situation for all it’s worth…

This might be the nail in the coffin for me unless the compensation gives me back the majority of the items I had to spend the last couple days…

For real not just a continent I mean how many offers and crystals have been messed up in the past couple months it’s like every other Crystal has got an incorrect drop rate or the wrong champions in it which I’ve never seen that happen before.

As this would be the fair thing to do, I think we are dreaming ... I specifically only want what I have lost because of kabams mistake, rushed non tested decision to launch a product that hadn't been checked
It beggers believe the consistency of errors why people haven't been sacked

Absolutely and that is what is messed up. Every once in a while they’ll leave something that benefits the community but nine out of 10 times gets straightened up right away but game issues things like this complete silence or robotic vague responses

Why isn’t there a forum banner message letting everyone know of the AQ issue? There should be an in game global message sent to everyone letting them know there is a problem with the game. Only a small fraction of players visit the forums. You need to communicate with your players and secretly squirrel these problems hoping they blow over.

Honestly you should treat this round of AQ as fundamentally broken and do the equivalent of a product recall and stop it now and give yourself plenty of time to fix it for the next round.

I'd like to ask the mods, why not shut down aq till you can fix it? Is it not possible to shut down aq in the middle? And an explanation of why this problem occurred would be great. Feel like 50% of the players' angst would be lessened if we were even the slightest privy to such basic info. And it would be even better if we actually had a timeline on the fix. Just for future reference

The ebony maws degen is way to much at this level and it's unavoidable he throws a sp1 and more than half of your energy is gone, even if you are nowhere near him.....at this point I'm starting to think that u guys want everyone to stop playing. I just can't understand the thinking. My player base is annoyed , upset, or straight up pissed off, let me see if I can make it worse with overly difficult side quest with **** rewards or even better let's turn aq (that u have to do every week ) into a nightmare with a mini boss that your gonna lose most of your health to even if u play perfectly....like honestly what are y'all doing? If u want to stop us from playing just say so. Your like that girlfriend that won't leave when shes over u and stays just to make you miserable.

What do we do about changing maps when the other maps have the same issue? We're tuning our map 6 group down to map 5, but the difference on day 3 is a 300k health 20k attack Ebony Maw vs a 300k health 15k attack Torch. The issue is on every single map. You guys switched the opponents to 6* without considering the fact that they were still at rank 5. Rank 5 6* champs are obviously far bigger than rank 5 5* champs. This was a completely unnecessary change. Should we just do map 1 so players don't item out due to this inexcusable oversight? It's time to just shut the cycle down. Lord only knows what insanity day 4 is going to bring.

They can't / won't shut it down since this was supposed to be their grand launch of Map 8. Lower map alliances have to deal with this flaming turd pile for the rest of the week to not piss the whales in the top alliances. Either skip the rest of the week or play itemless for the remaining days, and wait for more of the same **** compensation we've been getting for their other screw ups.

While I agree with the outrage (this was a really crappy thing to let happen), I have to say something about the use of the word "whales" and "top alliances" here. There are many ftp and moderate spending veteran players who are doing map 7-8 that aren't "whales" or in "top alliances". Like, at all. I am a moderate spender, and we have many ftp in our alliance. And we are nowhere near top 20. There's actually a pretty fair number of alliances running map 7 and 8. Enough that how this would affect them should absolutely be considered.

That being said, I am doing map 8 and I don't have a problem with them taking the cycle down. As long as they refund our tickets and actually provide a compensation that would make up for the lost rewards of our entire cycle. As we have already invested AQ tickets, items, time and effort into clearing the maps thus far. Thing is, I don't really know all the implications of taking the cycle down, but I'm not opposed to it if they can also make it right for us (map 7-8 players) too. Two wrongs don't make a right. None of us should get burned because of an error on Kabam's part. And again, this sucks and I'm sorry you're going through it.

Our alliance which normally does 655 is literally going to do map 4 the last 2 days… if I’m honest the fact AQ is allowed to continue like this is BS! I just spent over 1000 units taking down a map 5 HT with buffet because the first 2 days I blew threw all my revives and potions doing map 6 and dealing with EM… And let me be clear I am using all r3 6*… I’m blown away at kabams lack of care about this or communication… I’m ready to just quit my alliance and this game all together.

With this thread being labelled "MAP 6" and not referring to all the other Maps (5/4/3/2/1) being impacted by the same issue, I hope Kabam is aware that it's all the maps, not just Map 6.

I'll ask again since you guys have been ignoring us, what do you consider the "issue" because there are many maps affected by this and you only chose to merge everything into a post about map 6?

It isn't right that you just pop in to drop a brief, vague comment or two 2.5 days after the issue has started (that you should have caught before it went live, as usual, and at the worst should have immediately responded to on the 1st day the reports came flooding in) and then go back to ignoring us when we are asking for clarification. Just because you say you'll be back to comment when you have resolved the undefined "issue" or when you decide on "compensation" doesn't make it okay to ignore us again when we have follow-up questions.

Also, constantly thanking us for our "patience and understanding" every time you guys screw something up feels really disingenuous at this point because of the frequency that you say it about avoidable things. Every time you guys do this I can almost guarantee I'll see a post from you or another mod saying this and honestly it makes me mad at this point. This is constructive feedback because it is information about how your canned response makes me feel and advice on how not to potentially further aggravate the community.
