I have joined a new alliance, will I qualify for Gifting rewards

Hey guys! I have just recently joined a new alliance for the new season, it is December 8th and as of today the deadline to joining another alliance was 2 days ago. Will I at all qualify for gifting rewards, will I have to wait 2 days or is it strictly a rule you have to be a member of the alliance 14 days prior to gifting. Will it be a case of no alliance gifting rewards for me?

    You will qualify for rewards 2 days after the event starts.
