Trade in Store [MERGED THREADS]

This trade in store is awful. So awful in fact that I am not even mad. The one for one class catalysts and the potions are amazing deals, I’ll give Kabam that, but the rest is just garbage.

Let’s take the 6* awakening gem for starters. It costs 5 5* generic awakening gems to get. For any player that has not explored all content and whom five stars are still viable, this makes no sense to invest in even if they happen to have all the gems. And what does Kabam value each 5* generic at…3 class. That is 15 class 5* awakening gems for ONE six star. I was hoping to trade in 1 for 1 class to generic or maybe 2 for 1, and 2 generic 5* for a 6*. I have never awakened a single 6* champion. I was hoping that this was the day that I could do that without spending money, but no.

What is everyone’s thoughts on this?

I have explored everything, and had so many lower star resources hoarded up I was essentially able to get myself a free 6* awakening gem from trading up my 4 star materials

If you can make the store work for you, it’s incredible. But really that’s only if you are solely focused on one tier of champs. For anyone that still cared about 5 star champs, I’m not sure the 6 star gem is worth it. Although they’re so rare I’m not convinced it isn’t a good long term investment

Locking generic 5*s behind 3 of a certain class and not just 3 (or bump it to 4) rainbow AG’s makes the drive to a 6* AG a complete RNG fiesta.

I will miss getting the 6* crystal due to RNG.
I traded in all the 4* to purchase the 5 5* crystals. Due to RNG I now have a couple of 5* class at 2 each. I needed 3 to make my final 5th generic gem.

Well I agree that it could be a good investment. However, if I still use my 5* gems and I pull a good 5*, I am definitely going to be putting a gem into them. So there is no way I or most mid game cavalier players will have 5 generics or 15 class sitting around to spare.

as a hardcore kabam defender, i was really excited for this to earn goodwill among the playerbase, but sadly the complainants in most circles continue. this is just another thing that got added to the list

I haven't quite worked through the math on this yet, but in order to get a 6* gem just from having backstock of lesser gems, I don't think it would be possible. You would have had to have so much in overflow, which no one would. I think they need to re-figure their math on this.

I think the 6* AG is designed for people that are only focusing on 6*’s. Is expensive but if you are in that category then it is well worth it. I have had horrible luck with the 5* AG crystals, pulling science over and over, now it’s going to pay off and allow me to get a 6 star AG, I personally think it’s well worth it considering how hard these things are to currently get

if you guys have a lot of 3/4 and 5* AGs, you can easily get a 6* AG crystal!!!! which is extremely rare,
it's an amazing event for me, 6* AG doesn't come by that easily

If the intention of this game is to sit on resources for years and years saving up in hopes that one day Kabam has an event that allows you to trade in your old stuff for top tier rewards, this event is a home run. If the the intention of this game is to rank up champs as you go and try to enjoy and find value in each one (or at least a bunch of them), this event is a disaster. Completely useless.

Yeah I do believe some people will love it, but it doesn’t make sense for any mid game player. When will six stars be more viable for me? When rank 3 champions are easy. I don’t have any rank 3 six stars so what is the point?

Trading my 4* awakening gems into 5* and not getting the right 5* to trade in for a generic.

Exactly my thoughts. Been using all 4 and 3* Ags on new champs. Even the occasional 5* gem. But I also don't understand why make the 6* gem 5 generics. Instead of following the pattern of 3.

I am happy to trade 5 generic for a 6* ag. I have no use for the 5* ag anyway and I am not even an endgame player.

I cashed in 5* mystic awakening (6), mutant (3), 2 generics and a bunch of 4s into a 5 and now I can awaken my 6*r3 Doom. Expensive but worth it for me.

And did whatever I could to dump 3/4* stuff.

Screen is messy. Filters would be nice.
