Shang Chi vs stun immune nodes

Hi everyone, Shang chi has been my latest r3 and I love playing him. I am still learning to play him effectively in various different scenarios and exploring his utility in different types of match-ups in act 6.

One major hurdle that I feel was difficult for me was stun immune nodes as it feels a critical part of it his heavy-to-refresh cycle. Couldn’t find any YT vids specifically on this as well. Can some Shang Chi expert please help me and the community on this one?

Not much to do but if there’s space to do it after there’s sp or there’s heavy.

I play AQ map 6 and sometimes there is a void on the stun immune path that I take. I’ve always brought in Shang chi specifically for that fight. Biggest advice I could give you is to use the MLLM combo to get the longest duration on your unblockable buff. (Even if it’s into block) next I always use the MLM for 3 cleanse charges to immediately remove any of voids debuffs when they trigger. Then I use 5 combos (1st time will still give a chi charge even tho it won’t stun the defender) to build up power and then I use the sp2 to refresh all of Shang’s abilities. I will occasionally bait heavy out of the defender and retaliate with my own heavy to reset the abilities.

With a rank 3 Shang chi you should have more than enough health to take a few blocked hits (always reparry to reduce block damage) and bait out a heavy so you can punish with your own heavy if you need to reset the abilities before you get to that sp2

Just figure out the spacing and you’ll be able to refresh easily
