December’s Cav Eq node combinations

So I’m Throne breaker and pretty decent at this game, I’ve complete every cav eq in the last 4-5 years. This months node combinations especially on 3.1 and the #usecertainchamps has been ridiculous. Didn’t finish this month, I refuse to pay to play using potions and revives for “regular” content, especially with all the other game issues we are all aware of!

I can’t be the only one that feels this way! I know people are leaving the game and I have certainly been considering it. Kabam needs to get their act together as we watch this company go down the toilet.

It’s unfortunate as I have loved this game and it’s been a huge part of my life. No longer fun!

The rewards have been a joke since the beginning for cavalier EQ. Now they go and do this it’s just so so mind boggling. For all the issues in the game can you imagine how much time staff must have spent on this when nobody asked for it and wanted it or likes it. Almost feel like we’re being trolled. The champs they want us to use many of them don’t even have tags in the game. And for some thing that is only monthly why would there be so much reading involved. Even if the gameplay of the nodes was tolerable “and it’s not” it would be wasted on having to read and try to figure out these nodes. And to do all of this why? You can’t even get a six star out of it. Lol. So you want me to spend time and effort possibly resources even if I have the champs and want to take the time read and decipher these new nodes filter through and find the champs for what? Not even one T5 basic or a full six star? Lol ok

Oh well tried it with the Apoc team and made it half way through a path for exploration, decided I’m not spending units to explore. 3.1 with The obstinate, unstoppable, degen coupled with the lags, freezing, defenders recovering after specials and heavy so fast you can’t retaliate most of the time, it seems like a complete waste of time.

Cav EQ hasn't been around for 4-5 years. Uncollected wasn't even around when I was started playing. Have you actually been playing for 4-5 years? If so, your roster should be pretty stacked.

Wags = White Magneto - with his Guidance pre-fight any #metal or #hero can Parry as normal in this quest.

Apoc can Parry as normal and also applies bleed on heavy.

Can use any champs who apply bleed, counter Unstoppable or both. Doesn't have to be tagged champs. Alternately, you can play around the Unstoppable timer, but with bleed champs you really don't need to. Can play stun immune for easy fights with punishable sp1, etc. And use Guidance pre-fight for up to 3 harder fights per path.

A 4 star Horseman Wolverine can actually do it, but if you have ranked up counters might as well use them instead.

What team are you using?

Since this thread reappeared already, I'll add that for me, Slow and Stagger champs were the key. Get past that first Unstoppable using Slow/Stagger, and it never procs again.

So Doom and Stealthy did it for me. Hood did some kills, too. And Magneto was handy against metal champs, since he reduced the Unstoppable effects by 70%.

The only tagged champion I had ranked up, and found useable was Masacre.

I was guesstimating the 4-5 year my point was I’ve always pretty easily completed cav eq, thought my meaning was apparent.

Yeah, that's a good team for it. Congrats on finding a way to tackle it. Sometimes you just have to take a moment to form a new plan. Still with time to 100% and get your rewards. Turns out you do have a Wolverine after all. Nice, and good luck.

Edit: I can't tell what rank Wolvie is for sure, but if he's not maxed.. do it ASAP. He's one of the 5 stars who can still easily compete with r3 6 stars (as a Horseman).

I found him in my roster at rank 1 I had to rank him up, awaken him and put some sigs in him.

While the evade and reparry nodes are kinda garbage and need reworks if introduced again, I easily blitzed through the quest with normal champions. It's not really everest level content difficulty where people should put off exploration just because of them.

Half way through reading those novels kabam is making for nodes these days I realise i dont care and just go in with best counters for the champs on the path. And Ghost. Always Ghost

You haven't been completing Cav EQ for 4-5 years because it hasn't existed for 4-5 years. What specifically gave you trouble? I used Diablo with his nullify pre-fight for a lot of it regardless of path or nodes.

Basically ignored the global in terms of bringing tagged champs and just brought straight up counters instead.
I’m sure there was good intent when they designed this but I hated it to be honest.
Too much reading, lots of the fights take too long to get done.
I hope we don’t get more of the same next eq.

@Giantmetalheadjr wolvie will prove his worth again and again, so is a great choice and I also used him and apoc for all of 3.1.

Also, think about r3 cable if you use apoc a lot. At r3 with apoc cable can do many fights in the monthly EQ regardless of nodes, with only stun immune tricky.

Honestly this EQ is garbage.
The last few months ive never played so little. Firstly the side quest's has been rubbish for time invested/rewards for the last few months. Then this month the EQ with its new tags just feels like a chore. This is the first one that i honestly couldn't waste my time doing it. Since Cav diff came along its all been relatively easy to get the scrooge rewards which to be honest suited the time wasted to a degree.
But this EQ has topped the list.
So my point is i agree with the majority about this months EQ and the op. But my main problem aint so much the difficulty but the lack of rewards. The game has moved on, R3 are common place and 5* this year will become almost useless. Yet im expected to spend an extra hour or two reading a poor tag system for not even one fully formed 6* crystal and dont even start me on 6* sig stones.
I'm hoping the roadmap might address some of these problems but as it stands it feels massively stagnant on rewards.
Myself ill probbaly retire to a map 5 AQ soon as the rewards in that (which has only just been updated) is already outdated in my eyes.
Lets hope this all gets redeemed sooner rather than later.

I didn’t have fun with December’s EQ so I didn’t fully explore first time since Cavalier’s inception. Not a really big deal though. I’ll probably just skip the months they pull out these nodes. I like the class nodes. I find them fun to make use of. Using tags or just regular champs is fine but feels far more tedious and far less fun IMO.

Well gang in the end I was able to find a way to get through this content with a pretty specific team, however I would say I’m still dissatisfied with the content. On 3.1 I was putting in on average 40-100 hits per fight and on 3.2 average was 30 hits. 3.1 was a very poorly designed chapter imo.
