Each month I post this, and, well it's been 30 days since my last post.. While I love Morningstar (have her in a 5*), when can we expect to see Dr. Doom?? One of the greatest Marvel villains of all time??

unfortunately doctor doom and the fantastic four aren't technically owned by marvel. they don't have the rights to them so they can't release them in the game.

They actually do own the rights to add them in game, they just don't own the movie rights to certain characters. The reason they won't add any fantastic 4 characters is that they don't want to advertise any character's they don't don't own movie rights to so they can eventually get them back if the company who owns them can't make any money from them anymore

But then why did they add the X-men and spidermen? Marvel doesn’t “own” the rights to make movies out of them either. Maybe we’ll see dr.doom someday :/

If they don't own rights or something it is still ok you know,
They can just create a Dr. Pool or a Gween-Doom
Maybe Dr. Patriot? Dr WWII? The Mighty Doctor? Gladiator Doom?

Spider-Man and X-Men are huge properties for Marvel. So they accept that promoting them is important to their company.

The Fantastic Four definitely has fans, but not on the same level. The Fantastic Four comic's sales were not as good as the Spidey and X-Men sales. They were probably good enough not to get cancelled normally, but low enough that Ike Permutter could get it cancelled just to spite Fox.

As for X-Men, Permutter actually does want to hurt X-Men out of spite, too. That's why every branch of Marvel has been pushing the Inhumans for the last several years. Perlmutter thought they were close enough to the X-Men so that they could be built into a replacement. That just hasn't worked out because it's a dumb idea, which is part of why Kevin Feige wrestled control of Marvel's movies away from Perlmutter and dumped the plans for an Inhumans movie.
