That was the main gripe about the gifting event. There's no way for a FTP player to get an R4 just from doing content. Yet you can get multiples of them by basically buying them via GGC RNG.

For real tho, r4 6*s are meant to be a pay-to-win exclusivity for now. They slowly release the valve with these catalysts even for f2p, but it is kinda slow

As usual, Prof Hoffs video is extremely misleading. If he would have just looked at the profile of the summoner in the picture, he would have seen the quite obvious reason. Hoff is talking out his rear again. The person in the picture in the video doesn't even have a R4. That means they formed around 2 or 3. I haven't done any of carinas challenges and have 100% act 7 and I had an R4 before gifting. It's quite possible if that person in the picture has all the content done, bought all the offers, carinas done and with gifting, they could definitely end up with 2 of each in the overflow.

Prof Hoff is the absolute worst MCOC YouTube personality and this hot take proves it even more.

For example, if I had an r3 maxed sig silver surfer, you don't think that could take the place of say a colossus or something else with a much lower pi? As he should. If someone is so consistently wrong about things, spreads false accusations (often based on unconfirmed theories) and spends this much time complaining on YT, all that while not having (/ignoring?) like half the information available, I don't see any other possible feeling for him other than despising hate.

This wasn't the first time that said Youtuber posted misleading infos. There was a time, I think about 2 to 3 years ago, where Seatin corrected him and he apologized for the wrong info. I already unsub to his channel a long time ago.

Seatin himself posted misleading info (last year he barely bothered reading the abilities of new champions and played them wrong) and Prof Hoff isn't nearly as negative as KT1. Point is: there are people, who aren't perfect, who can mistakes or rant.

There is a humongous difference between misreading and sub optimal play of new champs and not reading a act 6.1.1 node while supposedly doing a utility showcase to counter said node
