2 Paths with the same compass?

How am I supposed to 100% the quest? There are 2 paths with the same compass requirement.

You do not lose the compass when you do the quest, it is available for future quests

It is lost for me. After I did the path, I lost my platinum compass.

The other one is a silver compass, not platinum.

Oh, I did all the milestones and I still dont have the platinum compass then.
