I am very clear what top 20 AQ is. It means groups of people that have the highest prestige. Not the best players or most skilled. That does not make them more knowledgeable about the game than Dave. You may want to go watch the video I referenced, where he was doing map 7 with epic mods. Just because his alliance isn't top 20 doesn't take anything away from him or anyone else who doesn't have high prestige.

You realize that map opponents attack and health rises quite a bit based on alliance prestige right?

That said, I'll just echo what dreamin and cradle have already said. Jnik is a great addition to the team. Whether or not this new balance system will be good for the game, none of us can know. Having more intelligent and experienced players involved with game decisions is definitely a good thing though.

It translates to experience. There are counters that work in lower prestige Map 7 that may or may not function all that well in higher prestige map 7. Prestige is also an indicator of playtime (though, yes, you will have a higher prestige if you’re P2W. You will also have a higher prestige if you’re at a higher level of play.) Either way, AQ aside, Dorky has never done masters war and has no experience in that area. Jnik has played on all levels of play and is currently at the highest level of play achievable. It’s what sets him apart from Dorky. He knows what high end people want and knows what lower end people want. He interacts with people with different experiences on the daily with the Discord community. Dorky doesn’t and has no knowledge to that degree. Compared to Jnik, Dorky has little to no experience in said community affairs or high end play.

Everyone makes mistakes that lead to a death. I’ve died to a Hitmonkey because I miss timed an L2 dex and got hammered, that’s not an indicator of lack of skill. Playing against those difficult matchups every other day, however, most definitely is.

Experience PLAYING the game is not the same as experience DESIGNING it.

Dude seems legit, but it's just one guy. That's a LOT of responsibility to put on one person's shoulders...

The moderation of this forum is about on par with game QA these days 😂.

I say that regardless of a player's level of game experience that it's still valuable but don't be surprised when players that are or have been in high tiers are positive about someone with the same experience being involved with the game gets deleted.
