What is Doom AI?

All I wanna ask is: is it intended to be as skilled? And if yes, why? I see no reason why this champ's AI should be so much better than all the other champs.

Today I went against him twice with Masacre (Cav EQ skill that's why). And oh boy, does he play perfectly. Perfectly distanced b*tchslap heavies, chaining hits into block, that's still okay, not all AIs can do it, but I am fine with that. But purposedly countering my SP2? He literally rather let himself be hit than block it on one try and he didn't block for a second on the other try.

This is just a (admittedly) stupid example, I don't want this AI to be nerfed, that's really important to say. But I am 100% sure that Doom's AI is one level above all other champ AIs and my only question is: Why?

because doom does as he pleases and is not limited by such meager things as technical constraints

I think there are a few champs that have separate AI's. Some champs tend to throw more heavies than others, especially if they have an annoying ability on the heavy (Doom) or considerable heavy reach (Cable).

Doom, I have noticed, tends to throw heavies when the opponent is shocked. I've also noticed the AI sometimes throws lots of heavies when right under 3 bars of power, almost tempting us to take the opening and push them to sp3.

I know, I'd lie if I said that heavy never caught me ngl. But that's just one move, Doom feels to be generally skilled. More AIs try to make goid use of their kits, but to me subjectively Doom's is overall more skilled.

I wouldn't say any AI is more or less skilled, but I would say some champs' AI's have been tweaked to make them more efficient (or annoying) defenders. We already have nodes like 'Aggressive' which makes champions more aggressive (hence the name) and 'Oscillate' in which the champs are more aggressive during the fury phase and less during the armor. All of this clearly shows that AI's can be tweaked depending on the champion.

Doom's AI seems to take advantage of the shock-heavy-stun part of his kit, and since it's not too hard to be shocked by an awakened Doom, he has plenty of opportunity to make most of that ability.

Another AI I noticed is Ghost tends to dash back a lot, even if she is up against the wall and I'm halfway across the screen, she'll dash back multiple times in a row.

And then of course you have Mordo's AI from the depths of hell.

I think AIs learn from the players. Most players use heavy a lot with doom and so he does it too

Has a rough experience in invade vivified path in v8. They didn't even held block and instead of dashing they walk with guards down.
Thanks to act3 for helping us folks, to clear these quests unit less.

Mysterio and Mordo are the ones i hate the most, not because of the champ s kit, but because of the weird AI behavior.

Mordo s huge passivess and Mysterio random heavies from close range, to med range to long range distances piss me off

You can Grab this opportunity to acquire the skill of baiting those "random" heavies and get your openings without using parry.
Thanks to Summer of Practice. I can bait mysterio's "random" heavies quiet consistently.

What u mean?
The king of Latvia does what he pleases.

But I agree, his ai always tries for an heavy cuz if u have shock it can stun u and stuff and is very aggressive hitting blocks knowing fact that he has highest block penetration.

Even Mysterio does it, random heavy cuz his heavy aren't just heavy and apply poison as well And mordo holding block like he's on vacation

Oh yeah, totally forgot about those two. Venom never ever throws his sp2 when I'm far from him, but the moment I come within range he drops it like a hot potato.
And Ultron absolutely refuses to get stunned when he's regening.

Since we're at it, what's with Sinister opening every fight with a quick heavy attack? It has no benefit to him (other than knocking the opponent up) since he would need to hold it and he releasrs instantly. I guess he's just being a ****. Caught me off guard many times though.
