    Strength and greater strengths are waste of points just 1 point is enough.. you can max out courage if you like. Add 1 point in pierce to unlock lesser and greater cruelty and precision. To unlock precision and cruelty you need good amount of units. Later in the offensive tree if you want more attack glass cannon(needs units) is the way to go 3 points is worth it there. At your current progress that will be enough and also make sure to explore act 4 so you get 4 additional mastery points.
    Now on to defensive tree... it looks all right but 1 point in vitality and greater vitality is more than enough. Go for unlocking recovery it will improve your regeneration rate from all sources be it champions or nodes. Once you have 15 points in defense go for unlocking willpower that will take carbon cores 1 point is enough 3 if running suicides even better with maxed recovery.
    Now on the proficiencies side: looks okay to me but go for unlocking pacify it comes in handy in matchups like magik or when you use red magneto you reduce metal opponents AAR by 100% with the mastery but sometimes that mastery works against you when it comes to some nodes and opponents. Mystic dispersion is also great to have you will need mystic cores to unlock that you can buy from loyalty stores and units... i still need to max it out myself since i only unlocked 4.

    Agree with various suggestions above.

    Even though you say you only have 1 Mastery available, you really have another 23 (total of 24) available by reallocating away from some earlier choices (including Dexterity only needing to be at 1 point).
