Rise of Vision Aarkus?

With the release of someone like Omega Sentinel, who is immune to nullify, stagger and AAR it's pretty obvious that most mystics cannot counter her and mags wouldn't be the optimal counter for her. If she is a robot, Vision Aarkus and Medusa may finally get a chance to rise up higher in the meta. If she's a non robot tagged #metal, Vision Aarkus with OG Vision synergy is gonna absolutely rip her apart.

Aarkus is one of my favourite cosmics in the game and he doesn't get the praise he deserves as he is often overshadowed by mags. I'm fairly sure Kabam will release more tech metal champs that cannot be countered by mags and that is where vision aarkus with the above mentioned synergy will prove to be very essential.

I like Aarkus. But he lags too much on my device so I don't really have the chance to actually use him. Even in arena I will just avoid using him.

I guess we will see soon enough, but I’m pretty sure she will be both #robot and #metal. It just would make her healing too insane if she wasn’t a robot.

Mags will still do well against her if we don't have better options
He won't be auto blocked but will not be able to prevent her abilities or do those massive Sp3s
Sp2s should still work well though
Also if I remember correctly he'll still reverse her regen if she gets one
He reverses it on Ultron so no reason to not do it on her

…that’s how the game works. Big overpowered champion? Release champs (and nodes!) to counter then and make them less effective. Happened with Blade, happened with Ghost, and it’s happening with Magneto. He still counters most metal champs and is a great option for plenty of content.

Making the meta change and shift as so the game doesn’t stagnate as much is a good thing. There’s nothing to complain about here, just use someone else to fight her.

Heck, her whole character is designed to counter and exterminate mutants in the comics, (hence the sentinel) so her being able to counter Magneto isn’t surprising.

He CAN work, but along with his massive sp3, it's also his AAR that made him such a special metal counter. Looks like Vision Aarkus with OG Vis synergy or medusa will be much better counters since they can completely shut her down

It's either Vision (OG or AOU) that will work to give Megamind that all #Metal benefit

He was my first 5* and I’ll admit to really wanting to pull him as a 6. While not in my current top 5 want list, he is definitely in my top 10. I’d definitely R2 him pretty much immediately and he’d be a strong R3 candidate.

Aarkus carried me in some of the act 7 quests. I honestly kinda underrated him until then, he was just my occasional “oh this months cav node is the the armor break one, time to break out vision”. I think there’s a sentinel boss in act 7 and aarkus just tore him apart, there’s some other instances as well, he’s really growing on me.

Yep. I can't complain about someone being a Magneto counter when she just killed him during Inferno a couple of months ago.

Have had my Aarkus at R3 for some time.

He’s a beast for moderate and longer fights. Definitely worth the rank up.
