Beast similar moves and look to streetfighter Blanka

I was fighting against Beast and I just clicked with me that his moves and look felt quite similar to Blanka from streetfighter.

Anyone else notice / think this?

I wonder if any of the other champs are borrowing from the other beat-em-up games.....
