Why does (Red) magneto take bleed damage from Chitinous thorns?

T2 war, path 3, node 32 with chitinous thorns; fighting colossus with my (red) magneto and he’s taking bleed damage from the node. Mags’ passive reduces bleed potency by 90% and I have coagulate mastery on which makes him take no damage from bleeds (normally). So why did I bleed out on this fight?
In the attached image you can see I’m taking 196 bleed/sec and there’s times where those bleeds start to stack.

Bc he has only has 95% bleed resistance

Could be a lot of things.

He's not bleed immune. Despair exists. Potency could get increased. Deep wounds mastery. Etc

90% plus 1 point in coagulate mastery (10% reduction per point) = 100% reduced bleed potency

    That’s likely the issue. Thanks

I’m pretty sure it’s the enhanced bleed node.

I can’t 100% remember the exact potency, but in my head I’m thinking 40%.

So mags naturally has 90% bleed debuff resistance, and you’re running 1 point in the coagulate mastery which puts it at 100% total bleed damage mitigation.

This is 100% initial bleed damage mitigation. 100%.

The enhanced bleed essentially increases the bleed potency to 140% of its original value, which means that there’s still 40% bleed potency left over. This is mainly because of how the percentage reductions are calculated, in terms of the order and also in terms of addition/multiplication of the values.

    Basically: 90% + 10% = 100% base. 140% - 100% = 40%.

I know what you’re thinking, it’s stupid. And I agree. Omega red has exactly the same problem, he also has 90% bleed resistance and I also run a point in coagulate. But enhanced bleed scales up the potency higher than it’s initial value which is something the previous 100% we worked out, does not cover unfortunately.
