How can I get more gold without selling anything or spending my units (which I am saving up for July 4th, or course)?

there's always the option of panning for Gold, but that is highly dependent on if you have a good pan for it, and there's a body of water near you that has gold in it....

Without selling anything, your best options are grinding arena, opening arena crystals (which you buy using battlechips which you earn primarily from grinding arena), and doing incursions.

Optimize your play to take advantage of the solo events. Those have gold crystals in them. Little by little, they add up

Incursions has tons of gold that resets weekly (and monthly).

I have been hoarding Uncollected gold crystals for last 3 months or so and plan to hoard them till year end. I'd save till I can calculate a minimum of 15mil gold.
