Updating middle of month

When I try to log in it tells me I need an update which I just did for this month's content. When I go to Google play to update, it just says Play Game or Uninstall.

This is happening to me as well on my Android tablet. It was working before my lunch at 12:00pm EST.

I got the same thing but if you back out in Google Play and go check all available updates it's there and it's quick.

some on the forum had this same problem, delete the game and reinstall seems to work for some!
