The short-duration return of the 7.4 offer is worse than not doing it at all

Kabam is running a business and running it brilliantly. Spring cleaning launches today with lots of bonuses added to unit purchases. Meanwhile, they just told us the 10,000 unit offer will return shortly.

Summoners can be put into a few camps:
1- Bought it
2- Didn’t buy it and don’t wanna
3- Didn’t buy it and regret it

Within camp 3, you have three groups:
A- 10,000 units on hand
B- short of 10k but won’t spend to get it
C- short of 10k and will spend

I have no idea how many people are in group A versus group C. For people in 3C, they get the offers from spring cleaning, the units to buy the 10k offer, and a huge leap forward.

There’s a fair argument that this setup introduces more imbalance between spenders and f2p players than never reviving the offer at all. The fair decision was to bring the offer back for 60-90 days, not 2 weeks. Kabam released content, kept us in the dark about the significance of the offer, then briefly revived the offer in a window that doesn’t allow us to earn meaningful numbers of units.

I was proud to clear 7.4 the week it was released, and now I wish I hadn’t done it at all. That’s a bad feeling.

Edit to add - I don’t care about the discount either. Make it available for 12,000.

You wanted them to bring it back for 90 days. Rather than not bringing it back at all, they said they will and for a limited time. For people doing the spring cleaning event the timing may suck, but that's the unfortunate timing window the events are in. 2 weeks, 90 days, it doesn't make a difference when it comes around to a holiday event to some people and not everyone would be pleased. Their only other option at that point would be to bring the offer back after the event which would probably get more backlash.
