Roster doesn't always equate to skill. Even if they are skilled, you still have strategy and RNG to go through. You might get dealt the better champs for counters or defenders and leave him stuck with a poor matchup.Then, even if things are even on strategy, skill, RNG... you now both have to contend with input issues, game crashes, etc. If nothing else, continue practicing, you'll get there.
This beta battleground matchmakings are a complete joke. I am not even 1 million rating. I matched with 2.7 million rating 13.5k prestige plat 1 ally player

Saying roster doesn't matter is nor correct here. An extensive roster is key to BG, but skill is also key too. Roster helps provide optimal defenders and attackers, but knowing how to use them and hotnto counter others is important

Saying roster doesn't matter is nor correct here. An extensive roster is key to BG, but skill is also key too. Roster helps provide optimal defenders and attackers, but knowing how to use them and hotnto counter others is important I think people are saying a roster doesn’t matter when matchmaking is concerned, which is 100% correct.
