Prestige Race Getting Out of Hand

Alliances battle every week to get to first place in AQ. The for sure way to achieve this is for all 30 members to try and strive to get current max prestige, which is 15,844. These two alliances currently have the same prestige, although when getting down to the decimal, one obviously has the advantage over the other. What is going to happen when these two alliances achieve max prestige or any other third, fourth, etc number of alliances get to this point too? There has to be a better way to get first place in AQ. Sure, some alliances can mess up, miss a node, a member is out of town and cant log, thereby "missing out on points", but that is not always the case. Why not extend the current method of calculating prestige to the top 10 champs versus top 5 on a players roster? There is no way someone will have sig 200 top 10 prestige champs AND be willing to use the scarce resources to R4 them as well; Or will AQ be like AW one day and have a timer added to the mode, to possibly be used as a "tie-breaker" between any and all alliances that achieve max prestige as an ally? A mod response would be greatly appreciated.

Perhaps 7* champs are on there way, essentially restarting the race, as 6*s did previously. Other possibility is that relics would also add prestige to champs and could possibly be leveled, ranked or something, creating a similar race to that of 7*s.

They'll slowly start adding more champs with prestige in the gap between Doom and the rest of the pack and it becomes basically impossible for whole alliances to have all 5 top prestige champs at max sig before another one gets added. It works itself out.

For the sake of top players, do not calculate prestige by top 10 ranks. If you watch KT1s video of him ranking Thor Rags, he absolutely hates doing that, but he does it for the alliance. After 5 rank ups, they are free to rank the champs they find fun. However, if we make it 10, then you have to rank the top 10 prestige champs first, or you're getting kicked. It is a very cutthroat world being in top alliances. That's why I will never join top 20 AQ alliances because I want to have fun with the game.

It's not that bad. You just have to do 5 rankups. Doom, Herc, and Omega Sentinel is apart of the 5 so its only 2 real terrible rankups. The rest you were going to do eventually anyways.

I have never seen ally average to be 3 points away from max prestige, let alone TWO alliances reaching that and now being “even”. Kicking players who are 15835 because they weren’t able to get Omega Sentinel and bringing in someone else who was. Am I saying it’s a perfect system and that what these alliances is perfect? No, but unfortunately this is what needs to be done to stay at the top. That’s why I’m saying something needs to be done to counteract this, or extend prestige to top 10 champs

Kicking people for not getting champs has always been a thing. Same thing happened when Doom and Surfer came out. That's the nature of the beast at that level of AQ and pretty much everyone should know that going in. There's a reason I have absolutely zero interest in ever returning to it. I think extending prestige to 10 champs is a terrible idea. That puts too much pressure to get too many undesirable champs to max sig bc at the end of the day you'll have the same exact situation just with the pressure to get and sig twice as many champs and deep down you know that if you're at that level.

This is why I think it would be a good idea, for the reasons you think it’s a bad one. Players would be forced to really look at their accounts and wonder if they want 10 prestigious champs with 1/2 of them being useless, or do they want to finally have fun on their accounts and rank up who they want/need for content. I doubt people want to use 2000 stones to get 10 champs at max sig/prestige only to keep number 1 in AQ

I echo this COMPLETELY and it's one of the reasons I would never as well ... I totally get it but it turns the fun upside down and you're more a business than playing a game. Prestige is cool but I mix it with fun first in my alliance and we don't make demands on rank ups and I gotta say I'm enjoying the game more than ever. (bugs and shat gameplay withstanding LOL)

I run an alliance that’s just me and my six alts. I still worry about getting kicked for prestige.

I used to think some alliances were hackers because everyone was either electro or ultron lol

Edit: I also ended up getting confused at why ppl seemed to rank up electro that much if he was only good to put on AWD (granted for the time that is enough reason)

Which is why I said July 4th will probably have r5 material sold in it to attract the whales.

(Doom maybe if you run strictly suicides) After the top 5 you can rank whomever you want but a top 10 will be doubling that process. More money for Kabam potentially but horrible results for those of us competing because the top 10 take our players constantly as well.

There are currently 0 alliances with max prestige right now so not really sure what you're talking about.

There's two alliances with 15,841 rating and are 3 points from max. If you want to take a victory lap off a 3 point difference out of 15,844 go for it lol.
