input system still not quite there

just when i think it has improved it hasn’t. i am using the beta inputs and still having inputs not register.

to explain, i am very much a “block first” player. i know this isn’t the best style but it’s how i play. there are times when it feels like i am pushing my left thumb through the screen and it still isn’t registering as a block. this happens at a distance and up close.

my normal play style is 5 combo ending in a medium, then immediately block. the block simply doesn’t register.

How long do you have the game open before experiencing these issues? Does your first fight have problems, or is it typically after you have been playing awhile?

When I did my abyss run yesterday, I got through the first 3 fights with no problems, and against Medusa, I was dropping inputs all over the place. A lot of parries did not land and a couple of swipes back did nothing. I did the rest of my run with the beta off, but it could have something to do with the cache of the game being filled and you might need to restart the app every 20 minutes or so.

I play on a Samsung Note 20.

thanks that’s a solid theory there that i’ll have to pay attention to. i have seen the lag increase through longer play times, but in this case of dropped inputs i don’t believe it’s exclusive to longer play times. although it may happen more often

I also have been experiencing “randomness” with the new input system, but I haven’t paid attention to whether it corresponds with gameplay time, it just seems to be hit or miss if it works between fights / different days. One fight I may not have any issues with Parry / Dex input response, then the next fight my champ isn’t hitting well-times blocks (parry’s), charging forward instead of blocking, and / or when I try to dex my champ just stands there with his guard down and gets hammered.
