Spidey2099, apply a wither and go ham on their block, unfortunately I find myself getting parried far more often then ever before attacking their block thus making him far less useful

I agree. I'm really puzzled why compensation stopped because their rationale was that the gameplay issues have improved even though every server and chat room I've been a part of would strongly indicate the opposite.

Below are short clips from my last offseason war. This happened in back to back fights where blocks sometimes simply don't register (it's not even a matter of whether or not the parry will register so the problem is much costlier and happening more frequently).

Also another issue that I've been experiencing is that when I dash back and block, sometimes it registers that as a medium dash forward.

I've also noticed the old problems occurring more frequently: combos stopping midway through, dashes (both back and forward) not registering, etc.

@thanks4playing agreed I have had such similar experiences! Blocks not registering, as well as when looking to dex specials etc, it doesn't register at all and jsut drops my block.

As you point out in war that's very costly, and with a new season just about to launch.

No more compensations, for a worse situation.

Personally find the changes have helped a lot, but obviously not everyone agrees.

Here’s what happened to me so far in the hour or so Ive played today. Node where you only generate power while blocking. Well ok was holding block and AI came in to attack and just broke through my block. No they weren’t unblockable either and I didn’t lift my finger because I was trying to generate power. Had to restart trials 5 times due to missed inputs such as doing 5 hit combo and after 4th my champ just stopped and stood there. Holding down for heavy attack and my champ dashes back twice. That one is mind boggling. One of my personal favorites while doing my combo AI activates special in the middle. And finally the countless backdraft intercepts just to bait out the specials the AI won’t throw.

It was hilarious doing the Sick Beast of a Player challenge and trying to Dex projectile specials with the new input system. Dex worked maybe 50% of the time.

It has been terrible in the arena grind. Literally every issue they are asking about on the bug report template is happening. It is so frustrating when you can’t finish a 5 hit combo, and the random dash forwards are hilarious. Like who is controlling the game because it is not me.
