I'll start by saying, I don't have anything against these. but the execution just seems too forced. Like it's just trying to rub it in our face or something.

Just saying, this whole sort of stuff could easily be avoidable if the irrelevant stuff to the game were made irrelevant. We already have plenty of characters from many races and sexual orientation. Almost all of them weren't sold on being like that. This shouldn't be different, just introduce the characters without coming up with the marketing about them being this and that. Bringing these toxic subjects to a game like this one is never a good idea (toxic in the meaning of the unnecessary chaos and controversies it creates in real life).

But I get that Marvel is likely the one forcing these stuff, and that whole concept of company=money whatever.
