Like with yesterday's expert proving grounds rewards.
Best rule of thumb is not to expose pro-player stuff unless you know it was on purpose.
Otherwise, Kabam will take it away. I am FOR ANY pro-player buff & freebees.

They know at this point that masteries are free, if they don't disclose when they're changing it back than I'm right. Purposefully withheld information is just that. Maybe they did make it free by accident but they need to tell us when they'll remove the free costs.

Well, if you view your account as a lease and not something you own then every change comes at a cost. Not trying to make trouble, but lots of things in this game should be free. EVERYTHING, including features unlocked, shouldn't have a reoccurring price.
Well, anyway, I didn't take advantage of the free mastery accident because I didn't want to invite the possibility of being punished for it. And I hope that nobody suffers any punishment for it. But we've seen exploits result in bans before, so only time will tell.

I am fine with just retaining my original mastery setup, and I don't necessarily want to pay (units, etc) to have it how it is now. Feel like there should be a "revert" option if you're going to change the cost after we switched.

Clearly this isn't a major issue, just seemed weird.

They should be free at this point. They are so beyond outdated. I would have more fun if I could play around with them more and try different things but I leave them set because I’m not wasting units all the time. I mean they aren’t exactly ground breaking anymore.

We've been asking for a "revert" or toggle option for a while now. But Kabam Miike made it plain (recently, too) that they never intend to make anything mastery related ever be free.

Masteries are no longer free so Kabam got an easy 100 units out of me again. Thanks a lot smh

How long? Not long, obviously. I feel like there’s so much about masteries that I don’t know just based on the fact that it’s too expensive to experiment with them. Would inequity and resonate positively with the “weak link” node in 7.2.2? I dunno. Is Unfazed good anywhere? Honestly, everything except mystic dispersion amongst the class masteries is only unlocked to the first point, because I can’t see ever moving points around to even try them.

I've been saying for months that mastery changes should be free.
It's worth it from a Business point of view.
It will make competitive play (Master Tier AW) cheaper, more attractive, bringing more people, with more people, we have more active players willing to spend money on offers.
Currently people are very unmotivated with the game, one of the reasons is because it is very expensive to keep changing proficiencies to position the defense and make the arena, in addition to dealing with the new nodes in AW.
Now with Battleground you can no longer pay for proficiency exchanges. Come on Kabam, make them free at least for those who have Sigil, if you don't want to make it for everyone, make me want to enter this game again.

It's not shady. It was a bug. Information on here indicated they were not meant to be free.

The Shady part is not giving us enough time to switch our masteries back. That is what happened 100%. It is my opinion but you're free to disagree.
