Traded my sling ring now I can't fight Dormamu in side quest

Did anyone else do this too? Doesn't the mail read that we would still be able to access the side quest even after we trade in our sling ring for the profile pic?

    No, when I try to start the fight it says the sling ring is required

    Have you claimed the ring from the in game mail?
