Let’s talk about new released champs so far in 2022

Hey guys
IMO, the 12 champs so far this year are kinda disappointing. Nowhere near Hercules or kitty level. Maybe Kabam’s gonna release more powerful champs in the latter year? I mean we do have some exciting champs such as omega sentinel, Hulkling and scorpion, and we’re hyped about next 6 star featured crystal, but still not the champs that everybody needs in their roster. My list is like this: Wiccan is not included
1 omega sentinel
2 Hulking (hated by homophobia)
3 scorpion (kinda surprised me)

4 Black cat
5 Sam Wilson
6 Rintrah
7 Wong
8 Toad
9 Misty Knight
10 Captain Britain
11 Sauron

Rintrah is a flat out monster. Easily one of my favorite champs from last two years.

    But why exclude Wiccan?

I have to disagree very strongly you are severely underestimating those champs

Your top 3 is the same as mine with regards to the new champs, but Wiccan should be included and is easily in my top 4. The other champs are underrated and I'm happy with the 2022 champs so far, seems balanced to me

Because 3 star is not enough to show how good he is IMO. That’s why he doesn’t count temporarily.

How many people even have all of these champs to try them out? I have a stacked paragon roster and I only have one of the 2022 champs.

Unless you have these champs and tried them out heavily, trying to rank them can't be taken seriously as you aren't speaking from experience and are going off what others have said.

Those who rank champs based on what they see on yt vids probably don't realize how easy it is to make a decent champ look op or vice versa when playing in specific situations.

You don't know how to use them.

Bro I have 6 of these champs as 6 star and all of them as 5 star. The judgement is not only based on YouTube videos but also from my personal game play.

    1. Imo Misty Knight should be above Toad
    2. These champs (except Omega Sentinel) have nice utilities. Not the best at everything but awesome at what they do.
    3. Ngl I love these champs more now that we already have Hercules ghost and kitty and even doom who can basically do everything

Well you have waaaay better features luck than me :) Also, I wasn't accusing of anything, was just asking a clarifying question as people ranking champs they have never even used is extremely common in this game.

Rankings are subjective and most of this "he/she is better than him/her" is nonsense.

I agree Nick Fury is not better than Moonknight
    That’s nonsense
    It’s subjective

That's a very lopsided sarcastic example. I believe what he meant was many (he didn't say all) champs can be better than others based on circumstances. For example, Nick Fury (who you mentioned) can be better than many skill champs on a lot of content, but with emphasis on champs and nodes that allow bleed. In other content, especially long content, aegon might be better. In other content or with "suicides" on, king pin might be better.

Of course there will be examples where one champ is clearly better but very often, especially with newer champs, it is often that there is no an "always best" champ and nodes, defender, synergies and masteries can impact who is "better" and when they are "better".

My thought is that it is posts like these that demonstrate why it is extremely dangerous for the devs to make champs like Hercules and Kitty.

Excuse me? The majority of those champs are insane. Black Cat, hulkling, omega sentinel and rintrah have crazy damage. Scorpion has completely broken utility and his burst damage is absolutely nutty. You can’t just overlook 200-600k sp2 burst damage. Now I’ll admit some of these champs have been misses (looking at you Sauron) but the majority of them are awesome.

Every summer we have some version of this thread come up evaluating all the Champions that have been released so far and you know what is the most consistent thing about these lists?

It's that they're always made with short-term perspective, if you go back through last year's list and re-evaluate them now with the knowledge and the time and the experience, I guarantee you their reception would be a hell of a lot better than what they were upon release.

Not every Champion is going to be Beyond god tier and not every Beyond god tier Champion was so beloved upon release. You go back in time and you're going to see criticisms about Apocalypse, Corvus Glaive, Doctor Doom, there was even criticisms about Hercules and Cosmic Ghost Rider. Time and perspective are the true judges of whether Champion is good or not.

I have to Agree, i know its unpopular but if we are being honest here then in my opinion there's not one champ that came out this year that let me say hmmm ill use this champ over this one, example i have corvus at rank 4 and i use Hercules and also Knull alot more now , i use Kitty Pryde at times and don't even bother with magneto i feel this year there's no champ that came out where i say hmmm let me not use Doom, Hercules, magneto, human torch or spidey 2099 , Cosmic Ghost Rider or Black Widow CV. Champs came out this year so far if you have a new Account they're good but to me there's not one champ that excites me where I'm saying i need this champ because they're an account changer, i have not spend on 1 Cav crystal this year because not one champs so far had value to my roster.

How do you play Rintrah? I have the 5* and 6* and while I like him and find him sturdy, I don’t really have a rotation I can find that works great for him.

    Any advice?

I believe to get the best out of Rintrah, you need to Corner your opponent and launch a special two

How can you complain about the fact that all 11 of those are good champs. Look at the first half of 2021. There were definitely some duds but we have had 0 in this first half of the year, assuming Wiccan is decent.

Not every champ has to have CGR damage, Warlock utility, or Hercs sustainability.
