Event quest glitch uncollected

I am fighting Wiccan in the final part of the current event quest. It keeps shutting the game down after I am kicking his weak butt. This is depleting my teams power every time but when I reload the game, Wiccan has full strength. I have wasted units, health and revive potions. Super frustrating!
