Will login rewards take place in the background?

I can't decide on selecting champ on 6-Star Nexus yet but know I can't play the game till a choice is made.

If I tarry for 2 days or more and launch app every now and then and only seeing the champ select screen, can I still receive login rewards?

What’s going to change in 2 days? Especially since you can’t do anything else until you make the selection
