2021 commitments vs current state

In August of last year MCOC team wrote the following

We’ve heard it from our players and feel it ourselves, some of the updates are not up to the level that Summoners had hoped. While not every Champion is meant to suddenly skyrocket to the top of the DPS charts or replace every Champion in your Roster, we feel that players are not happy with some of the updates they have received lately.

While we understand that this change will lead to fewer Champion updates per month, we believe that this will allow us to give you better quality updates every month with fewer issues.

We’ll continue to update 2 Champions per month until we come to the point where we have worked through our Moderate/Value only Champions and will need to reassess when there are only overhauls to be finished.

Thank you for your understanding,

The MCoC Team.

Based on the recent reaction to DPX and Jane Foster updates, can the MCOC team comment on whether they believe we should be satisfied and change our expectations to match the current reality or if these can be potentially looked at again?

I do believe the updates to Mordo, Gamora, Storm and Yondu have made them much more viable so I’m not saying the program is dead, but I definitely feel somewhat let down by the current status of these iconic movie star characters

    No, they cannot.

This is a twist on the Kafka trap. They can't say you should not be satisfied, because that would be used as an admission their work is inadequate. And they can't say you should be satisfied, because that would be used as an admission that they were out of touch. This is basically a question for which every answer is wrong, because you're asking them to tell you how you should feel. Of course, they can't tell you how to feel.

The correct response is to say that question is unanswerable, and to repeat what they have stated: they have done their best with the updates so far, but not all of them will be equally appealing to all players, and some of them may simply target benefits some players have no use for or value far less than others they would prefer. But you're not going to always get what you want. Whether you're satisfied or not is up to you. But individually satisfying every single player of the game is not an achievable goal of the update program.

@DNA3000 its not meant as a trap it’s a legitimate question as to whether expectations should be that following a buff should the expectations be for a champ to be rated as more effective than 50% of their class or not? If the answer is, ‘we just tune them to what we think is reasonable’ and yes I’m paraphrasing then so be it, and my expectations should change. However I don’t believe that matches the statement from last year.
We’ve had two ‘reworks’ that received significant feedback and essentially no response to TJF and I’d say a confusing one on DPX more associated to playability vs usefulness.
The second part of the question is does Kabam want or care about our feedback, or is it entirely redundant as it will not change development plans?
If it was worth posting about in August of last year, I think it’s worthy of some communication
