What's with the Havok's plasma charge

I was at 90% health and 6.3.3 havok was at about 10% health, I launched sp2 and I saw plasma detonation and Nimrod died instead of havok, is it suppose to be normal?

If you aren’t regularly parrying with Nimrod while in either Titan or Eradicator protocols, your armor up buffs will naturally fall off. If this happens, you will take burst damage from Havok’s plasma stacks.

I wasn't paying attention to plasma charges, I had 10 protocols, reached sp2, launched sp2 and took a sigh of relief, literally, but........ 1 revive was written in the stars
