Cancel Alliance Invites?

Is there a way to cancel an alliance invite?

I've noticed a trend of people just jumping from one alliance to another to another, sometimes half a dozen different alliances in ten minutes. If I send an invite before I realize what they're doing it would be useful to be able to cancel.
