Two problems with AW this war.

Hi guys.
Over the years there’s been a lot of posts about unfair war matching. Every time the answer is that matchmaking is all about war rating and nothing else. You can meet a much stronger alliance but you have approx the same war rating.
That makes me wonder about tonight’s match for us. I find it hard to see how matchmaking on war rating can be applied.

The other problem is that we are chilling in tier 4 this summer but for some reasons we could only choose Miss-tic as a node this war which is kind of a problem when the entire defense is built around unstoppable armor.

Anyone can explain this?

This is what can happen when running less than 3 bgs since you are more likely to get a bad matchup.

You are playing on a t3 map because you matched a t3 alliance and that’s why you can only pick miss-tic tactic and that’s not a bug or issue and totally normal

I’ve been thinking about the issue with bad match ups for people who are running less than 3 BGs for a while and I still haven’t come to any good conclusion on how to deal with it, other than potentially having a “League” system where at the beginning of a season you choose how many BGs you are going to run and then you’re locked in to that many BGs. Each “League” has its own separate rewards, that are adjusted based on the current 3 BG rewards, so 3 BGs get what they currently do, 2 BGs get slightly less, one BG gets less than that. Each “League” has its own tiers, ratings, and brackets.

I don’t know if that would help with that issue, but it’s something I’ve been thinking about for a long time now.

Switching back and forth makes no sense! There basically are leagues already built into each ranking. Switching back and forth you going from big league to bush league.
You should absolutely choose at the beginning of the season and stick with one or the other! 2 or 3 battle groups, but switching will only further mess up your war rating and your points and will not help you achieve your goals.
Our alliance has always run 3 bgs until this season. We finished gold2 last season and this season we are only running 2 bgs because nobody wants to play this jacked up game using items because the game doesn't function worth a damn!
We are have difficulty even filling 2 bgs!
We finished last gold2 but started this season gold 3 because we "switched leagues".
We are about to do away with war all together! It has become too frustrating for those that still want to play! And too much work to get others to step up to support their efforts.
Basically, we have an entire alliance full of players who evade, avoid and just don't want to play this mess anymore!
