EoP PSA: Your specials will never crit Warlock unless his armor buff is gone

Addendum: when previewing content and reading the node descriptions, you can now also see the defender's abilities as well in the same screen. This is something players should get in the habit of doing, especially in content designed to be difficult or tricky. There are lots of abilities most players are unfamiliar with, even veteran experienced players. When you see something weird going on, reviewing what the champion actually does should be the first thing everyone checks. Doing so will prevent a lot of pain and frustration.

a good psa as well is that ability accuracy reduction can mess up a lot of things. i've seen a lot of people saying that they're trying to remove warlock's armor up buffs by inflicting him with an armor break debuff. when you try to inflict him with an armor break debuff while you have an infection on you, the ability might fail because of lowered offensive ability accuracy. so if you're trying to armor break him and you're failing, that's probably why

warlock used to be one of the easiest characters to push into a sp2 by holding block after attacks. but low and behold, he becomes a champ in EOP and all of a sudden he only wants to use sp1 lol.

the whole, "AI dont change" but they also do change when its different content excuse.

I consistently pushed him to an SP2? The fight for me really didn’t feel like anything was different from how Warlock usually is.

i must be getting super unlucky then, warlock is such an easy champ to beat even with these nodes. yet the AI knows exactly when to use sp instead of playing into the same rotation i would normally use in EQ or any other content. i cant bait heavies and reparry when he wont play into me and he uses a sp1 into my block? AI never use specials into a block... cause it registers that im blocking and wont take much dmg... but EOP logic changes that all the time.

I can't even reparry him half the time as he seems to instantaneously be launching two attacks at once, I'm already getting hit before the first parry ends. No Biggie, solo's with warlock, got him down to 60% with Knull before AI stopped playing ball, but as I said in the other thread, I'll restart, I'm not wasting items

Don't know if Red Magneto will work he has armor break on sp2 and sp3 but challenge is to keep using heavy to refresh the armor breaks.

Sp3 can’t crit, so s2 best option. He will armor break off sp1 since warlock is bleed immune but your damage won’t be as significant. I did some small tests with him to see if he’d be a viable week 5 option. 50% removed off 1 s2 (maybe around 25-30 prowess) - unboosted no suicides. Threw on suicides and took off 75% with 1 s2 (again around 30 prowess, no boosts). So yeah, mags works

Your issue seems to be dunno how to push a counter to SP2. I learnt from KT1 during SOP. 3/4 combo and stay close hold block, bait heavy and then 5 hit combo.

you told me to do the exact thing i said i did in the message you responded to... your issue might be not seeing the typical game issue/bug xD and finishing attacks with a 5 hit combo will cause the AI to use a special more often than not, 5+ year experience here thx tho

I never say u’re unexperienced. So you are unlucky then as I still facing auto dash forward / backward issue in game periodically and sometimes it happens in EOP fights too. So far I manage to push Warlock to SP2 and limit his SP1 within 3 times in entire fight. I’m talking about 500+ hits in 5 mins with VP with 20% attack boosts.
