CGR synergy with Galan

Galan looks super cool and the herald prefight is pretty darn cool as well.
Buuuutttt that all doesnt came close too the CGR synergy😂 for real CGR just got 100% armor duration which he really needed 😂
Kabam really didn’t feel like giving him anything but had to because of he is a herald😂

They gave CGR the most useless synergy
because they know he'll break the game.
Imagine if he had the synergy where he got
his SP3 fury on his SP2. That would be too broken.

Y’all in this thread keep saying things like “CGR should’ve gotten this because it would be ‘broken/insane/OP’” and like… yeah that’s why he didn’t get it. He’s already one of the best champions in the game. He didn’t get anything because he shouldn’t get anything. Giving him an overpowered synergy would be bad for the game.

He could have at least gotten something useful. Nobody is benefitting from the armor up potency. It didn't have to be overpowered.

Literally anything more would have been overpowered. CGR is a nuclear bomb in a game full of swords and guns. He’s not like other champions who have to meet certain conditions in certain matchups to unlock their big damage, he can just do it. He does not need nor should he have gotten anything more than this. Now he’ll be extra tanky if you mess up. That’s plenty in its own right, plus all of the benefits that being a Herald grants.

Indeed, just give him the Galan and Odin prefights, put the game on auto fight, and then go play checkers or something.

He has better synergies than this that aren't overpowered. For example, Night Thrasher increasing armor break duration by 35%. Nothing game changing, but still noticable to the point where you can get a couple extra big hits in. Or Ghost Rider's synergy, gives him extra buff duration if there are no active judgements. Can help you get a bit more power, a bit more vigilance uptime, or lets you trigger aptitude earlier to give you a judgement which makes your other buffs longer. Again, nothing insane.

What could be added that wouldn’t make him more overpowered?

Say increasing power lock duration by 1 second? Allows for a tiny bit more power control, buff control and heal block utility, and an extra aptitude or two on the aptitude rotation. Nice bonuses but nothing that changes him drastically.

Yeah he already has some really great synergies but people don't want to actually take the time to read and strategize because it would mean having to make a team featuring "not beyond God tier champions".

Could have made it so "precision from dexterity mastery does not activate CGR's judgement." Not a game-breaking synergy but still something some people might like. Not like it's a chore to play around that whole mechanic if you are saving for a big SP2, but this would give some more freedom.

The current synergy is basically the first useless thing they could come up with. But I'm not mad at it. He's already an amazing champ.

I’m pretty sure he’s already got a synergy that gives a freebie. Something like your first dex won’t trigger the buff when you dash back.

It’s true he has amazing damage and some already existing good synergies but that doesn’t mean that he doesn’t deserve more love. I think even OP champs need more synergies from time to time to make them more fun.
To name some OP champs that got a new synergy enhancing damage are apocalypse with stryfe, sigil SWitch and even normal SWitch with quicksilver, Mr Negative with valkryie,etc
And I’m not saying giving him an even more broken synergy or something like that but something that is practical, like some other’s mentioned power lock duration, etc I’d personally like a normal synergy like increase his incinerate damage or vigilance converted into true sense, immunity to nullify,etc
None of them will break the game but enhance the experience of the player and help him tackle some fights he previously can’t.🙂

The synergy you're thinking about is with any of the other Heralds and it isn't quite what you stated.

So the hypothetical synergy I described is different and actually far more useful (at least IMO) since it's not just once per fight and it's applied to every precision gained through the dexterity mastery. But like I also said, he's already a great champ so I'm not mad about his synergy with Galan more or less being an afterthought (although SkyLord7000 does bring up a good point just 2 comments above this one lol).
