Quick question about Shang-Chi's chi charges

I was fighting rol wolvie when my charges capped out at around 150-ish and only the 4 charges from the SP3 would count towards the total amount, i understand if it had a cap because its basically infinite scaling damage, but there's no content that can survive a 1-2 million+ SP2. So why add the cap in the first place ?.

the cap is ~297, 99 each from sp3, wushu strikes, perfect dexes/blocks

You can’t rule out that someone is playing 3* ShangChi. Maybe.
297 charges for 6* is more or less impractical but still feasible.

Sometimes caps like these aren't necessarily an intentional means of limiting the potential of champions. They can be the result of coding limitations and just the way programming works. If the first hit of his SP2 is doing 630K before the Red Damage kicks in, I don't think Kabam was concerned about that not accomplishing what it is supposed to do which is KO the opponent.
