what about all that extra loyalty?
In the closed announcement "KNOWN ISSUE: INCORRECT LOYALTY REWARDS FOR AW LOSS", (still in the banner at the time of writing this): The MCOC team stated:

We are aware of an issue that caused Alliances in certain Tiers, running certain numbers of Battlegroups, to be awarded Millions of Loyalty for a Loss. We have now fixed the issue. We will be taking back a Majority of the Loyalty, though we do not know how much that will be at this time.
We apologize for this issue. To minimize any risks of issues after the Loyalty is taken back, we suggest that anybody affected does not spend more Loyalty than they should have expected from the Loss Rewards.

To try to compensate for this, 1 Million loyalty was sent to everyone. Which at the time, and the nature of the loyalty store was a kluge of a fix at best given how an average war season costs 1 Million loyalty, and one might lose about 400K per season (never mind AQ tickets, class catalysts, or other reasons to use loyalty)... but it was "eh... good enough".
With the new Loyalty store live... the fact that some people got "millions" more than others should be interpretted as "some alliances got extra 6 star AG crystals, significant amounts of R4 materials", and more... a lot more.
I'm sure many blew it on a 6-star sig 200 Unstoppable colossus and are kicking themselves. Others though can basically max out the spending limits for a few seasons.
2-3 months ago... these rewards would easily have eclipsed the 10K unit offer that everyone was jumping through to try to buy extra times, and also eclipse Gauntlet, and are probably about equal to a full Eternity of pain 8 week "cycle"
While the beneficiaries of this didn't do anything to cause their windfall, I feel this huge imbalance requires additional attention to rebalance the economy. Either more loyalty needs to be given to everyone (really lazy approach, and only minimizes the impact, won't actually fix anything)... actually remove the excess loyalty given out (cap it to 1M at this point), or some other more creative correction is required.
Otherwise... any time I ever see phrases like "economy of the game" or "balance"... it will be a meaningless joke, which will make people bring this thread back up more often than patch 12.0
