Up to this point, I haven't heard anything about this coming back. Again, that doesn't necessarily mean it won't return, and don't come yell at me if you spend everything and it does. But, as of now, I haven't heard even a whisper about it.
I said something similar when people were asking about the trade in store with Awakening Gems and Sig Stones, because some people said they were holding onto items hoping for their return. But even when I told them what I knew, they said they'd continue to hold onto them regardless. So, use this information however you see fit!
Can I trade gold for awakening gems? Or I’ll give you some awakening gems and you get someone to finally give me 6-star Hercules?

Nevertheless the idea of an yearly (or twice a year) moment to spend a big amount of gold is good, even if the next bundles would be (a bit) less attractive.
In this case, the use of the store would be better.
I have actually been told by developers that they were unaware of some new development, simply because they were not working on it directly and had no need to know.
I should point out as an aside that often, individual developers aren’t aware of something happening not because of a particular need for security, but rather because going out of their way to find things out can actually impair their ability to function. Let’s say something new is being developed that you aren’t working on, but may need to interact with down the road. So you look over the cubicle to see what’s going on. You will see that thing in its early form, which may not match its final form. If you keep looking, you’ll see many iterations of the same thing which will clutter your memory. When you finally have to work with this thing, you may get confused between what it is, and what you remember it to be, which can cause you to make errors you wouldn’t have made had to only seen the thing once it was done. Meanwhile, you have your own work to do.
So sometimes Jax won’t know something not only because he wasn’t told, but also because most everyone else doesn’t know either, because only the people working on it know, and no one else needs to know, so no one else is explicitly told. Stuff leaks out of course, but not in a consistent or organized fashion.
It is entirely possible that something is about to happen tomorrow, that Jax is unaware of. And Jax would have no way to tell you which kinds of things that could be. About the only rule I can think of that would be obvious (and thus is not giving anything away) is anything you are thinking of that is a) novel and b) would require player announcements educating players about that thing would be the sort of thing the community people (such as Jax) would be aware of days to weeks in advance, for the simple reason they would be involved in crafting that communication. So if you ask Jax “hey, is a brand new game mode launching on Friday” and he says “not that I’ve heard of” then it is probably not happening. But “is a gold exchange happening in September” is not something Jax would necessarily have authoritative information about.
I’m saying all of this because Jax almost certainly cannot answer the question “what do you know, so we can tell when knowing you don’t know means more than that.” Jax is free to correct me if that’s false.
