Why the AI is so PASSIVE in Arenas and AQ?

It seems im playing vs Mordo variants all the time


The AI in these 2 game modes seem a lot diferent than the rest, they just sit there blocking, never throw specials.. its tough to get intercepts with all this passiveness, and its boring af just baiting for 60 seconds.

No wonder these are the 2 worst game modes.

Arenas have what is considered the “Easy AI.” Meaning they attack less often, which is easy for less skilled players. But when you’ve got the normal AI’s move set down so well, it’s infuriating having the opponent throw spastic attacks at random times

I know it’s really annoying. Cause they won’t hit into my block so I can’t parry, then I try to attack but they end up attacking me. Takes fights way longer than necessary. I’m even playing on a new account and going through act 1-3 has stupid ai as well.

I think its because they updated the AI in the arena in general, but this is an old re-released arena and it has the older, more passive ai. Kind of funny when you play quake though and they literally sit there and die while you hold block.
