With news of the end of gifting... will you continue or abandon your alt account(s)?

Fairly straight forward question I'm not 100% sure of myself.... if you have an alt account, will you continue using it after this year, or will you abandon it? I think I may abandon mine

Yep, my alt only existed for gifting. I was active every day and spent a ton on it. Now I have no purpose for it at all.

I think they’re going to regret this financially.

Why would they regret this?.. who spends on an alt to gift your main....

I have 3 accounts. Two of them are thronebreaker, one is cavalier, all have Elder's Bane.

Needless to say, I'll keep playing all of them.

I'll use the units I deliberately save on my alt for the giving event to whale through some content instead.

I only have one alt that I casually play for the gifting event but also for incursions.
A solo mode for incursions would be the last nail on the coffin.

I created an Alt a few weeks ago, and despite this it has been useful to get a fresh perspective of a new player. What I noticed is that with ISO being much more restricted early on, I bypassed 2* after the first hour or so, and 3* only stayed for synergies. The other thing was how the champion pool is so big now that getting dupes naturally is so much harder.

But yeah, I’ll probably dump mine.

I created an alt 8 months ago and have saved 3.5k units. Now it won't be needed for gifting after the consumables this year, I'll stop playing it as I don't have time to properly play two accounts, and the purpose for using the alt will be gone

I took on an alt when a friend abandoned his account, back when we had a few 5/50 4-stars and it mattered. I got that one TB last May. I did gifting with an old account in 2021 and had such ridiculous luck that I kept playing it sporadically and took it past cavalier. I cleared 6.2.6 Champion the morning before the announcement. Sorely disappointed.

Meh maybe if im bored with my main sometimes or to test something out but tbh i dont care about it now im just so pissed off cus i spent loads of time grinding on my alt for units but its all gone to a waste

I will abandon my current alt accounts. I might create 1 or 2 new accounts next year. Just because I like starting over and using the champions I have been given to become uncollected. Usually with a bad team I quit after act 4, and with a good team I continue to uncollected. U leave my accounts after that because I don`t see the use for them anymore. The gifting was a nice bonus at the end of the year. And that might be the reason I did it about 3 times in the past 9 months. But I do it mostly because I enjoy it when I am at a roadblock on my main.

can't speak for others but I have my old phone connected to the alt account.. every few days I turn it on and run stuff on auto fight.. usually gets regular and heroic monthly done for me without issue

I never started my alt in order to boost my main's gifting rewards. I was curious how the changes to the early game looked so I started a new account to check them out, as well as to see if I could have fun with different champions on a new account.

However, without an easy way to switch accounts, I haven't touched my alt account in months. The end of the gifting event hasn't impacted that decision in the slightest. I'm just too tired to manage two different accounts. I prefer to focus my resources on my main.
