its a fraction of 1 catalyst of 1 class. You need 3 (plus several other resources which while becoming more common, don't grow on trees).
Its still going to be quite a while at this rate before r5s exist, let along someone has a full team of them (unless of course the "new gifting event" is abusable).
This. A fraction of one T6CC isn't going to get you a 6* R5.
But once the floodgate opens. It may start with a few shards but their is the rest of act 8 and then the cyber deals right around the corner.
If they are starting to let out the t6cc shards I can see that being their money maker on the cyber weekend deals
It's actually not that soon, compared to the history of 5*s.
The ancient history of 5*s has nothing to do with my point. With t6cc rewards being part of 8.1 that means it is very likey we will get more throughout the rest of Act 8. If there are already multple opportunities to get them by the time cyber weekend deals hit then it is not a stretch to expect they will be big part of the deals to boost their sales. If there are plenty of oppurtunities to earn and buy them then I would expect to start seeing R5 6*s in the near future

I'm sure that makes sense. In terms of being too soon, it's not, really. It will also take some time before we see Max 6*s in the game.
Lol we don't even have content suited for R4s, why release R5s?
You can’t look at it that way, since story mode was changed after act 6 there isn’t technically content where you need 6* at all
The point was, that there is no content that would be challenging for R4 6*. About the hardest we have is Act 7, that is already easy enough with R3s.
One: this is false. Most players cannot easily do all the current content in the game with R3s.
Two: this is irrelevant. Higher rank champions don't materialize to make the game easier for any one person. They are pursuit targets first, and propagate downward to be utilitarian resources second.

of course but just shows that they are probably gonna be here sooner than you mightve thought, or at least sooner than i thought
They are arriving a lot sooner than I thought they would two years ago, but not sooner than I thought one year ago. The writing for this has been on the wall for a while, especially given the acceleration of R4 materials particularly at the Paragon tier.
