will it fix the lag, and also stop the game from just shutting down randomly in the middle of fights. I appreciate all the little things, but maybe fix the giant bugs first

Did ever occur to you… that “fix the giant bugs first” takes time? And that regular content can’t just stop while they continue working on the major issues?

    Just food for thought.
Fair point about content—it has to keep being released. But…given the stubborn and persistent nature of the issues plaguing the game (many of which are still around post-fix), frustration is understandable.

The rash of dropped input/lag/frame stutter posts has ticked up, and it isn’t because people are still playing on iPhone 5’s. The team is extraordinarily lucky to have a property as rich and beloved as Marvel and a player-base as loyal as this community. Absent either of those two attributes, it’s hard to imagine people sticking around nearly a year and half to see whether game performance improves.

Of course, we can have frustrations about game performance. The problem is the game performance issues vary from player to player, device to device. It would be great if there was a catch all fix that would make the game run nearly perfect for everyone, but that’s not something that can be done, and finding the cause of the issues on a device specific level is immensely time consuming and rarely done to that extent.

For example my iPhone 13 Mini, has issues, occasionally inputs are missing or wrong, however my Razer Phone 1, a much older Android device runs near perfect (occasionally gets a little toasty in longer fights but I chalk that up to being an older device at this point). Now if I were only using my iPhone I would probably be on the band wagon of “Why is the game not being fixed! Why do Kabam keep releasing more stuff when the game still has bugs! I’m quitting!” Etc. Etc., however if I were solely using my Razer phone and Kabam decided to not push out new content to focus only on bug fixing for months, my interest in continuing the game would also dwindle. Right now they can only really continue doing what they’re doing. Continue to fix the game as best they can while still proving new content.

Yes, this situation sucks for everyone in some capacity. The players who aren’t having issues want more content which is likely being pushed back due to those that are having issues and want them to be fixed, and it sucks for Kabam because they too would rather be working on new and exciting things for the game rather than having to try working through the headache of issues that only occur for some people on some devices and not for others.
