Red mags not gaining prowess after sp3

Had a fight in aq (map 6/hulkbuster/tier 3) and - aside from his damage seeming way off - after throwing an sp3 I couldn't gain any prowess charges.

That's not normal, right?

    Honestly the weirdest part of this story is a Mags sp3 vs a metal champ not ending the fight :o

    Hulkbuster reduces offensive ability accuracy for each armor up he has so that’s probably what happened

    That's probably exactly what happened - not a HB user so I'm not totally up on how his kit works. Thanks!

    Mags SP3 only does the really big stupid damage if they are also Bleed Immune. Basically does 3x as much damage in that case. If they aren't you gotta wait for the bleed damage to finish and then also the shrapnel bleed burst at the end.
