Act8.1 Delay: Consumables expiring [UPDATE: 10am PT, Sept 14]

I've bought the cav exploration offers to stockpile my resources for 8.1 exploration. With this delay, these consumables will expire. I have no way to save these resources since i have no content left in game. IS there any way to pause the consumables timer, or ar there any team plans to compensate players for this delay?

AGREED! What a waste of time spent, especially those who have been waiting since they announced it on the video, planning everything. 🤦‍♂️ I hope they consider reverting.

This is not fair at all. Where have they ever mentioned that 14th could be a subject to change, not even a warning. Please revert back to the 14th, it’s a players choice to do battlegrounds or 8.1, there’s enough breathing space @Kabam Miike

yeah personally i have zero interest in BGs. I wanted to do act content and bought offers pertaning to completing it asap, with the date previously provided. An Oops, sorry isnt going to suffice.

Completely agree, you don't need to do everything all at once. Act 8 is permanent content, if you wanna focus on BGs then focus on BGs. To change it 2 days before is not a good call IMO.

Unless there's a better reason than "there was too much going on", I am pretty disappointed

Don’t even want a compensation as that would be stupid as many people didn’t do the grind, reverting date to original planned one would probably be the wisest decision

so originally act 8.1 was suppose to come out on September 14th now its coming out September 21st because of the battle grounds release. so because of the delay so many people will have potions revives and energy refills that were going to go to act 8.1 expire because of communication being so last minute .it was clear from the moment they announced the release dates that the dates were close so I find it hard to believe that the decision just got made. and in conclusion i think the release date should be September 14th again or they should give the expiring items back to the player so that time getting the items wasn't wasted. I would like to hear your opinions about this.

I just sold 5 revives I couldn't use before Wednesday. Now, I'm going to lose 29 more - GARBAGE. No one is forcing anyone to start 8.1. Let them wait a week on their own and the rest of us go play it so we can use the items we farmed for just for this. Terrible.

Kabam know that people have been grinding and buying deals , they can’t just say ‘sorry for the inconvenience’ 2 days before planned release. I understand delays due to technical issues but this reasoning is just not understandable. I ask again please revert, that would be the best outcome.

I didn't even think of the 750 units I just spent for the questing pack (which included revives and energy last week for Act 8) that are going to expire now too. Wow.

As someone else pointed out, if this is a reason to hold it back so other things can be adjusted (eg bugs and things) then I would not mind as much. Moving it back a week with only two days notice is a significant change. I was much more excited about 8.1 than BGs, and if people get overwhelmed with so much content, they can just wait to work through 8.1. Too much content should only be a problem for the servers, not the playerbase.

The 8.1 delay has rendered all these items useless as I have nothing to use them for. This was a waste of time and resources and it is unfair and the majority of players who used their time and resources to gain these for the expected arrival of 8.1 on September 14th…

Hey Everyone.

If you have purchased unit deals in anticipation of the September 14th date and have not used the items, please contact support and they will likely be able to help refund your purchase. (Ingame: Gear Icon -> Support)

To clarify, when we say we want to "give breathing room" between major releases, it's not giving summoners time between modes. It's to enable the game team to give their full attention to each game mode and to problem solve any major issues that creep up.

As we've stated before, releasing multiple major pieces of content at the same time can cause instability in the build and we want to make sure both game modes release without major problems.
