MVC for 8.1 Exploration

I'm trying to plan ahead and rank up champs that would help clear this content (I hear KP and Colossus put in some work, glad to see Colossus flexing his muscle lol).

I was wondering if any players that have 100% explored 8.1 could share their experience and knowledge on some of their most champs.

So many paths dictate the best champs to bring, that I didn't have a subset that I used all the time.

KP and Colossus of course have utility that makes them extra sustainable, but there are plenty of paths I would not have used them on.

Not much help, I know.

I mean Herc was obviously stupid for 90% of it. Other champs I used a ton were Scorp, Ghost, Agent Venom (with Scorp and Kraven), Mole Man, Tigra, Nimrod, AA, Poco, and Kitty for me.

There were a lot of metal bosses, so Magneto is obviously a great choice for them. I never used him on a path, rather just switched him out at the character choice node.

S2099 w/ Anti-Venom and Scorpion synergies put in a lot of work for me.

Besides those two specifics, as others have said, it's very path dependent, so I couldn't really call any one champ an MVP.

My most used champ throughout was Scorpion. Counters so so much.

Nimrod was very good. Torch obviously has his moments. Cable+Apoc are great too. Fury. Magneto, Herc
To a lesser extent: Shang-Chi, Moleman, She-Hulk, iBom, a 2nd Torch lol, Claire, Warlock, AA, Diablo

Edit: adding Bishop. He definitely had his moments too.

I used She-Hulk more than usual for Act 8.1 100%.

Scorpion took care of the paths with poison vulnerability for me as well as the diablo boss with shock vulnerability.

I completed but haven't explored 100% yet, I think mutant team (with horseman buff) always useful, plus Kingpin / Shangchi / Moleman / Warlock / Nimrod.

It's difficult to point to any specific MVPs, but two champions I ranked up specifically for 8.1 were OG Storm and Venompool.

I technically ranked up Storm after I realized that she would have been really useful for several lanes, so she wasn't actually as useful after I'd done them, but I still think she's a solid rank-up. If you bring Pyramid X along, Storm just nukes a Wasp boss that places coldsnaps on you.

The reason I was often bringing Storm, by the way, was that I was often using Bishop and they have a great synergy together. So I should probably mention him as well. I don't know if I'd classify him as an MVP, but he was certainly useful.

Venompool, I realized, was amazing for a lot of robot champions. Since he also gains a bunch of immunities when fighting Tech champs, he was also able to tackle some lanes that inflicted you will power drain or shocks and stuff. Not for every fight, but whenever there was a Tech champion on that lane. He helped me deal with so many Warlocks, Nimrods, Ultrons, you name it.
