BG 1,000 unit deck

Can someone explain the 1,000 unit deck in BG. I know it unlocks and extra slot to save masteries, but is it worth it?

How do you save masteries to it? Is it just for defense, or also offense? I can't find anything that explains it well online (though maybe I can't find the correct YTers who explain it) thanks.

I can answer a few of these questions, but I haven’t unlocked it myself.

-The saved masteries apply to both your defence and offence while using matches with that deck

Is it worth it?

Not for me personally, as I never ever change my masteries lol. I could see it being useful for others, but it’s up to you
