How do you change your pfp?

I know it sounds funny, and it really is, but I have never been able to change it and every time someone tells how I just end up not seeing it

If you're on mobile click the 3 lines then click view full site, scroll to the bottom and click your image, then click preferences, then change pfp

On computer click your name in the top corner, click the dropdown above your pfp, click preferences, then click change pfp
