What is the importance of AQ in terms of rewards for progression ?

I retired for a couple of years, and now I am back. I haven't joined an alliance yet, and I am wondering what I would gain from AQ if I joined one. Is the current AQ rewards worth outweighs the commitment ?

    Go for a decent prestige, but lower map alliance, like 4 or 5. No linked nodes, only need to play/move 2 or 3 times over the 24 hours and you'll get 4k ish glory.

    And that 4k glory will help you bring in more t5b and t5cc fragments than any other regular content for the effort. Best rewards for effort are still AQ glory :-)
